Will my photo print beautifully?

A quick quality check before you order means a sharper, cleaner canvas print.

  • Recommended resolution

Bigger is better — upload the original photo at full size. As a rule of thumb, aim for 3000+ pixels on the shortest side — every canvas we make is a large format, so send the biggest original you have.

  • Watch out for blur

Zoom into your photo at 100% before uploading. If faces or details look soft or smudged on screen, they will look soft in print — choose a sharper shot.

  • Lighting matters

Photos taken in bright, even light print with better colour and detail. Avoid heavy shadows across faces and very dark indoor shots.

  • Crop with care

Keep faces, hands, and anything important away from the edges. Gallery-wrapped canvas folds the outer edge around the frame, so leave breathing room.

  • Phone photo tips

Modern phone photos print beautifully — send the original file, not a screenshot or a photo saved from chat apps, which compress and shrink images.

  • Best results for canvas

Canvas loves detailed, well-lit photos with a clear subject. Upright photos are ideal — leave a little space around the subject so nothing gets trimmed.
